Northampton Baseball Safety Protocols

Welcome to Northampton Township LL (NTLL) where the safety and well-being of our players is our top priority. We strive to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for children to learn and grow through the sport of baseball.

To ensure the safety of our players, coaches are required to complete First Aid, CPR, and AED training. This training equips our coaches with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond quickly and effectively in the event of an emergency.

In addition to coach training, we also adhere to strict safety guidelines and protocols, including regular equipment checks, field maintenance, and age-appropriate training.

We believe that by prioritizing safety, we can create a positive and rewarding experience for our young athletes and their families. Thank you for entrusting us with your child's development and for joining us in our commitment to safety.

Submitting Clearances

Background Checks Forms (3 for Pennsylvania)

Pennsylvania
In order to comply with Pennsylvania State Law, please submit your paperwork or proof that it is in process of the following items for you AND ALL ADULTS who are helping coach as soon as possible. IT TAKES ABOUT 15 MINUTES AND IS GOOD FOR 60 MONTHS.
Here are the three requirements related to PA State Background Checks/Clearances for:

Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearances (CY113)
Pennsylvania Criminal Record Checks (SP4-164)
Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Checks
A fingerprint based federal criminal history (FBI) submitted through the PA State Police
OR
Applicant must swear or affirm in writing that they are a continuous resident of Pennsylvania for the last 10 years or are not disqualified from service based upon a conviction of an offense under Statute 6344

Remember, as a volunteer, except for the fingerprint check IF APPLICABLE (See Requirement #3), these are all free.

Requirement #1 of 3 (Renewal Every 5 years)– For child abuse form go to www.compass.state.pa.us/cwis/public/home.
Please submit a screen shot that your application is in process, then follow-up with the Clearance when you receive the email from the state. This could take up to two weeks. This submission is good for five years. Note: The website will allow 1 free application per individual every 57 months.

Requirement #2 of 3 (Every year)– To file electronically, visit https://epatch.pa.gov/home

This is the Criminal Background check required by the state and needs to be submitted every year.

You should receive a Control # immediately after your application is finished that should allow you to download, save and print your Clearance.

Requirement #3 of 3 (Every year)-
Sign and return attached form CRBA Volunteer Affidavit

The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is utilizing Cogent Systems to process fingerprint-based FBI criminal background checks. The fingerprint based background check is a multiple step process and costs $24.50. For more information and to begin the registration process,
go to https://www.pa.cogentid.com/index_dpwNew.htm In the Registration Section - Click on Register Online - Accept the Memorandum of Understanding - Start the Application (No Agency ID is necessary) then Select “23PACSA6344.2 DHS VOLUNTEER” as the Reason Fingerprinted
